Why play on SCUM.SK after the fresh wipe on 29 June

For many players a wipe is just a map reset. For SCUM.SK it is a clean start for progression, community and the systems around the server.

We know the server has been running only five weeks and a wipe is already happening. But this is not only our decision. It is a decision made by the developers, and as a programmer I know they do not do that for no reason. In the future we will follow their plan and reset the servers whenever the recommendation comes.

Everyone starts from zero. Nobody has months of collected loot, finished bases, full storage, and a head start over new players. Everything starts again, and the first days after a wipe always have the highest value in SCUM.

Loot matters. Basebuilding has tempo. Conflicts happen naturally. Players meet more often and the server has a completely different energy than after long weeks of an established cycle.

We do not want SCUM.SK to be an ordinary server

SCUM.SK was not created with the idea that we turn on a server, post an IP on Discord, and wait for what happens.

From the beginning, we treat it as a community project for Slovak and Czech players. We have a website, Discord, server status, leaderboard, kill feed, tickets, guides, blogs, events, and custom tools for server management.

It is not finished, and we will not pretend everything is perfect. The difference is that real work is happening.

When we see a problem, we handle it.

When something is missing, we try to build it.

When players give feedback, we can work it in.

That is exactly how we want to move the server forward.

A custom system around the server

Because I am a programmer, we do not want to depend only on ready-made bots, external panels, and tools that allow only what they were built for.

We are gradually building our own system around the server. We are working on internal infrastructure, plugins, automations, and tools that help us better manage the server, players, events, tickets, and the community around it.

Some things are already live. Others are being worked on. Not everything will be visible immediately, but the direction is clear: we want as much control over the server as possible and we want to do things our way.

Not because we want to pretend we are a big studio. Because the SCUM community deserves more than a rented server and a few admin commands.

Faster ticket handling

One of the things we handle differently is tickets.

On ordinary servers, a player often waits until an admin has time. Then the admin reads the ticket, asks for more information, checks logs, and only then something starts moving.

We have our own infrastructure and AI assistance that helps with the initial review of tickets. It does not mean AI decides instead of an admin. That would not be right.

It means the system can prepare context faster, help sort the issue, and speed up the first response. The goal is simple: the player should not wait hours just for someone to look at what happened.

For some ticket types we can get to an initial review very quickly. This is exactly the direction we want: less waiting, more solving.

Dedicated server and own infrastructure

SCUM.SK does not run on classic shared game hosting.

We have a dedicated server and our own infrastructure for managing and controlling it. That matters especially in a game like SCUM, where performance, stability, and technical background can be sensitive.

We will not claim there can never be lag or a problem. That would be nonsense. Anyone running a game server knows issues can always appear.

The difference is that the server is under our control. We can monitor performance, work with logs, adjust the system, and react directly. We are not dependent only on shared hosting and support somewhere outside our reach.

Experienced admin team

Technology is one thing, but in SCUM it matters just as much who manages the server.

Our main admin has more than 16,000 hours in SCUM and a lot of previous experience with servers, players, rules, and resolving problems.

That is not a small detail. SCUM is not an easy game to administer.

There are raids, basebuilding, vehicles, zones, bugs, reports, suspicions, player conflicts, and many situations where you need to know the game, not just read rules. An experienced admin can better judge what is a real problem, what is a player mistake, what is a bug, and what is a normal part of the game.

Events and regular activity

We do not want a server where nothing happens.

We will run regular and irregular events. Some will be smaller, some bigger. Some purely community-focused, others more competitive. The point is to keep the server alive and give players a reason to come back.

SCUM is at its best when something happens on the server beyond ordinary looting and raiding. Events add another layer. Players meet, new situations appear, rivalries, agreements, and conflicts are created.

That is exactly what we want to support.

Updates will not come once every six months

Because we can handle many things ourselves, we do not want the server to stand still.

We will add features, adjust systems, test things, work in feedback, and gradually improve the whole ecosystem around SCUM.SK.

Not everything will happen immediately and not everything will be perfect on the first try. But this will not be a dead project where nothing happens for a month after a wipe.

Players need to see that someone is taking care of the server.

Why start right after the wipe

After a wipe is the best time to join because everyone starts again.

You do not have to catch up with old players. You do not have to deal with others having months of advantage. The first days are the fairest and also the most interesting.

If you want to start on SCUM.SK, June 29 is the best moment.

There will be a fresh map, new bases, new progression, and a community starting from the beginning again.

What to expect from SCUM.SK

SCUM.SK is not only a server. We want to build a place for CZ/SK players who want an active community, proper background, and an admin team that truly knows the game.

You can expect:

  1. fresh wipe on June 29,
  2. Slovak and Czech community,
  3. a custom system,
  4. dedicated server,
  5. faster ticket handling,
  6. AI assistance with issue review,
  7. regular and irregular events,
  8. active development of new features,
  9. experienced admin team,
  10. website, Discord, leaderboard, kill feed, and more tools around the server.

We will not say we are a perfect server. We are not.

But we work on the server actively, technically, and as a community. Right after the wipe is the best time to join, test it, and be there while SCUM.SK keeps moving forward.

See you after the wipe on June 29.
